Reflections on Sunday

I know the last three posts have been about Sunday but it is the high point of the week for me. I anticipate it Saturday evening by reading God's Word and getting my self prepared mentally,emotionally and spiritually. I also teach on certain Sundays so I also finalize my notes those Saturday evenings I pray for God to be glorified in the Worship of His people and the teaching of His Word.
Dr.David Uth gave a wonderful message on God's peace from Philippians 4:1-8. The Life group I attended afterwards was a special time to gather back with God's people after over two weeks of holidays. We had a special family time called Mingle Sunday when several men brought goodies for the class and we took extra time for fellowship. Dr. Jim Bruton, who had pastored for over 40 years taught the first several verses from the book of Colossians. He did a fine job and answered several questions concerning the uniqueness of Christ as the Son of God over several other world religions that claim he is a prophet only. Overall it was a fine Sunday and one I do not take for granted as I once did. It is always a special privilege to gather with the Saints to worship the Lord in prayer, singing,preaching and instruction from His Holy Word the Bible. Praise the Lord!
