One of the advantages of getting up at this hour is that I get to watch some of the cable news shows being replayed earlier in the evening. Oreilly is on now so I get to see some of his interviews. I also get to channel surf to MSNBC to watch The Situation with Tucker Carlson. Too bad, both are on at the same time because they are excellent shows with vigorous debate of the issue from both the right and left of the political spectrum. Both hosts lean to the right. Oreilly, a libertarian and Carlson a mainstream conservative, mix it up well with their guests and yet always are fair with their guests. I also enjoy watching Chris Matthews who is a democrat that once worked for Jimmy Carter and Tip O'Neal. He is very strong in his opinions but is very fair to his guests and has slammed liberals as well as conservatives on his show. But he is very smart and engaging during interviews which turns out sometimes to be a cross examination. He was strongly against President Clinton in his behavior with Monica Lewinsky and other various scandals and he has slammed President Bush for his War in Iraq and economic policies.
As I tap the keys,I thank the Lord for all the wonderful information that can be accessed on the World Wide Web. There is very little excuse for people to be uninformed of the issues of the day. As a Christian man, I am between two worlds, the city of God and the city of Man. My citizenship is in heaven from where I look for my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ(Phil 3:20). But until the Lord comes back for his people, I am to be in the world but not of the world. I am to live in it and be remained unblemished by it. I am not to let the world mindset squeeze me into its own mold but to renew my mind with Scripture. I am here to be an ambassador for Christ and share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the only way for redemption of man's soul. I am still to be a citizen and be informed on the issues to be able to live with wisdom and holiness. I am to do all things without murmuring and disputing so I will be a son of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation among whom I live as a light in the universe. I pray for wisdom to know my proper priorities as a Christian Man and to choose the best over the good. I try to avoid the tyranny of the urgent and I am not always successful. I am a pilgrim on his way to Buelah land.
