Hard to make connection

I have been unable to connect by phone with my daughter the last few months . We are separated by three time zones and with me on a night schedule at work, it makes it extremely difficult to get together. The last several times that I called , I have gotten her phone machine where I have left messages. This has been very frustrating and I resolve in 2006 to try harder to try to reach her either by email or phone. It seems odd with all the sophisticated communications gadgets we have that we still can't get together. Well I am going to get off this blog and try and email her right now and hopefully we can make connection.
