Defending the Faith---First Class 1/11/06
The first class is over. I feel it went pretty well. I had a full class of people much to my surprise. There were 17 people preregistered on the website but 23 people came to class and filled up just about all the seats. The folks were very receptive to the material I gave them and I quickly ran out of the few handouts I had for the first class. I discussed the two major religions in the world today which is militant Islam and Secular Humanism. My class is dealing with Secular Humanism. The skeptic who does not believe in God or the Bible is the person we are targeting for our arguments.
I surveyed the two major apologetic systems. Evidentialists and Presuppositionalists. I defined four basic terms. Worldview,Postmodernism, epistemology and Borrowed Capital. It was a great class to teach and I thank the Lord for the privilege of teaching His Saints.
