I'm Back---For Now!
I just got back from Fort Lauderdale and the RZIM Ministry Apologetics Conference and it was great. Bill Smith of the C.S. Lewis Institute and Stuart McAllister of RZIM taught us to engage in culture with the truth of the Gospel. You can communicate the Truth through various cultural forms where an unbeliever has a point of contact. But we are to deal with them on a worldview basis explaining and demonstrating to them that the Christian Worldview has the only answers to the human condition and reality. The Truth of the Triune God of Scripture explains how we can bring unity to the diversity of life and and relationships. We are to be courageous and bold but to do it with love and graciousness. Much of the material is what I am teaching to my class Wednesday nights. My only disappointment was that Ravi Zacharias was not there. He was in Ireland. From the advertisement where his picture was placed on the email, I thought he would be there as did other people at the conference. I felt somewhat duped, but I did not let it spoil the conference for me and I was blessed by what was taught.
Fort Lauderdale is a great city and it was a joy to be down there again. I needed to get back to prepare to teach tomorrow morning at church. Next weekend, I will be traveling with my mother down to her beachhouse to stay overnight next Friday and come back on Saturday. So I'm back, for now!
