Back to Blogging
My apologies to anyone coming to my blog and seeing no activity for a while. I really need to take more time off because of my extremely busy teaching schedule this year. My Sunday school teacher is having a heart valve replacement surgery this week and will be out at least a month. So I will be filling in at the 10:45am hour for him teaching on the great doctrine of Justification By Faith Alone, which is the doctrine Paul is defending in the book of Galatians and Romans.
Last week, I received a phone message from my former class at the 7:45am Sunday school hour and I am needed to fill in 6 out of the next 11 weeks. I will be teaching a shortened version of my normal Wednesday night 10 week teaching of Ephesians during the 7:45am hour. So, with double duty on Sunday morning and my regular teaching Wednesday night, I will be a busy boy over the next several months. I still need to prepare for my Intro. to Islam class coming up in mid August on Wednesday nights and finish completing a new class on the Trinity for later in the Fall. I may have to pospone that until January but I will see if I can get it done by fall. This all with the backdrop of a 55 hour a week job! It is a good thing I am not married because it would not be fair for a wife to be squeezed out by church activity, even good and wonderful things such as teaching God's Word. I value my singleness for such times as these. This is the very issue the Apostle Paul writes about in 1Cor 7:32-35.
So I will be blogging when I can. I will try to squeeze in some time to blog my thoughts on various biblical doctrines, textual issues or current events impacting the Christian life. Blessings to the blogging world and all that stumble upon this blog when surfing the blogospere. Maranatha!
